The Love Behind Our Foundation
A foundation rooted in love — for a husband who believed, and a daughter who completed the picture.
My husband, Joseph May, believed in me before any of this existed. He believed in this vision. He believed in this mission.
Joseph sadly passed away from congestive heart failure. Even though he is no longer here with me physically, I carry him with me in everything I do.
This foundation, this work, this purpose is rooted in love. The same kind of love he gave to me and our family every single day.
Xavianna, my saving grace, showed me that becoming a mother does not always begin with giving birth. Sometimes it begins with showing up, opening your heart, and choosing to love a child with everything you have. Being her mother has helped me understand both the joy of kinship care and the support families need along the way.
She was the missing piece to my heart that I never knew I needed. She completed our family. She is loved beyond measure.
Together, Joseph and Xavianna inspired me to turn our family's experience into a purpose: helping other kinship families feel supported, seen, and less alone.
Joseph believed in the vision. Xavianna helped give it purpose. Together, they are the heart behind Love Beyond Blood Foundation.
I'm here not just as a founder, but as a wife who was loved deeply and a mother whose daughter inspires her every day. Now, I am pouring that same love back into the community.
For Joseph, whose love I carry always.
